Domain & Email Sender
Checkout URL, custom domain, and transactional email sender setup.
Subdomain
All checkouts automatically receive a subdomain in the format https://[subdomain].verkkokurssikassa.fi.
| Asetus | Kuvaus |
|---|---|
| Subdomain | The checkout identifier in the URL. Can contain letters, numbers, and hyphens. |
Custom Domain
| Asetus | Kuvaus |
|---|---|
| Domain | Your own domain without the protocol. E.g. checkout.yourdomain.com. |
Setting up a custom domain requires DNS changes in your domain registrar's control panel. The required DNS records are shown on the settings page after entering the domain.
The subdomain remains active at all times, even when a custom domain is in use. Your checkout is reachable from both addresses simultaneously.
Email Sender
By default, transactional emails such as order receipts are sent from the platform's address. You can configure your own sending domain so these emails arrive from your brand — for example no-reply@yourdomain.com.
The email sender is independent of the web domain above. You can use a different domain or subdomain for sending emails, such as mail.yourdomain.com.
| Asetus | Kuvaus |
|---|---|
| Sending domain | The domain emails are sent from. E.g. mail.yourdomain.com. |
| Address prefix | The part before the @. Default is no-reply. |
| Display name | Shown as the sender name in the recipient's inbox. Defaults to the checkout name. |
After saving, three CNAME records are displayed on the settings page. Add these to your domain's DNS settings. Verification typically takes a few minutes but can take up to 72 hours.
Until the domain is verified, transactional emails are sent from the default platform address. The verification status is shown on the settings page and updates automatically.
The same sending domain can be used across multiple checkouts within your organization. DNS records only need to be configured once — each checkout can have its own address prefix and display name.
